BERRY AND HALVA YOGURT BOWL

YOGURT BOWL. The café breakfast to make at home.

It’s no secret that if you’re looking for me, more often than not you’ll find me seated at a café table for two with a latte in hand. On an extra great day, I will have a pastry or a dish that shows off fresh ingredients on the table in front of me. One of my very favorite dishes is a well-crafted yogurt bowl—it’s a simple pleasure. So much so, that I’ve perfected one to make at home, that’s right, I’m now creating my very own private in-my-home café experience. Join me! Make your coffee and pair it with this yogurt bowl. You will love!

Pro-Tip. Spread your yogurt around the edges of your bowl using the back of your spoon. It’s not just pretty, it’s practical! It allows your toppings to distribute evenly over your yogurt making every bite even and equally delicious.

  1. Use your tablespoon to heap your 3/4 cup of yogurt into the middle of your bowl. use the back of your spoon to spread your yogurt clockwise up the sides of your bowl. You are looking for your yogurt to have an even thickness from the middle of your bowl and up through the edge.
  2. Drizzle your honey clockwise in a circle over your yogurt.
  3. Sprinkle on your halva and almond slices in a clockwise motion.
  4. Distribute your blackberries evenly around your yogurt.
  5. Lay your strawberry slices in a clockwise circle with them all facing in the same direction.
  6. Delicately place your small basil leaves evenly around your dish—some should be on your berries while others are directly on the yogurt.
  7. Eat and enjoy!
