COSME

I recently went to a lunch party for a group of  ten at Cosme hosted by the oh-so-cool guys behind the Wine 'N Dine app. Simply upon walking into this dark in the daytime lunch, where the lighting feels controlled in a way that emphasizes specific points within the space, smooth wooden tables and sleek black modern chairs, I could feel the elite quality of this high end contemporary Mexican restaurant.

Dressed appropriately in dark denim and heels, yes, in the day time, I took my seat on a high black stool at one of their long highboy tables. One by one, out came their entire brand spankin’ new lunch menu. Each dish was equally as beautiful as the one it sat next to. This was absolutely, hands down the most eye-catchingly stunning upscale Mexican food I have seen to date. The flavors are complex while still highlighting those traditional notes that you expect of this type of cuisine. Whether in the Huevos Rancheros with the super delicious refried black beans or in the Burrata that sits in a salsa, the classic comfort food feeling is not at all lost, in fact, it's both emphasized and elevated.
