If there were ever a restaurant you'd walk by and want to grab a seat at their outdoor tables, it's Olio e Piu. Flower clad and mix match seating, the outdoor area feels like it was ripped out of every shabby-chic Pinterest board you've ever followed.

Unfortunately, I went during a cold front that hit the city and found myself sitting by a window gazing out at those tables—I know, life is super hard.

Sitting with one of my girlfriends, we decided to start healthy with their Pera and Fichi salads. The attention to detail with the plating made me so happy. Each dollop of cheese was perfectly placed between a mission fig wedge Which was adjacent to a roll of prosciutto di parma. It was both refreshing to eat and refreshing to see a salad prepared with love.

After that, all hopes for healthiness hit the fan. Out came the Gnocchi al Gorgonzola and the Spaghetti Pomodoro e Basilica. We twisted it up, scooped it up, ahem took photos of it and then ate it. Guys, if you're going to be a lady who lunches, this is your happy place.
