You probably already know of Bluestone Lane with all of its locations around New York City. On the off chance that you don't, allow me to introduce you. Bluestone Lane is an Australian café that pays incredible amounts of care to each cup of coffee poured. They have a full menu that is ideal for breakfast or lunch. If you venture up to the Upper East Side, they have a location that's built inside a church. It's really beautiful!
Joe And The Juice
Are you super cool? If you answered "yes" I believe you and Joe And The Juice with its dim lights and bumpin' music is the place for you!

Haven's Kitchen is part event space, part cooking school and most importantly part café—but first, coffee. With trendy vibes, this is the perfect cafe to escape the craze of the Flatiron area.

Don't let the concept of a half barber shop half café dissuade you, this little Australian café is beyond adorable and serves up some mean lattes.

Porto Rico Importing
This is where you need to buy your coffee beans to brew a great cup at home.
Tucked away in the West Village, Grounded is a tiny homey shop filled with great coffees and teas.
A laid back no fuss coffee shop brewing up awesome coffee—need I say more? I won't.
Plain, simple, clean, no flourish, it's a great spot to grab your much needed caffeine fix.
If you ever kept a scrapbook or know that collage "I don't give a..." vibe, this is that. If you're looking for a place to get some work done, the wifi is free, the bites are yummy, and everyone else is there with a laptop open in front of them—you'll fit in perfectly!
I want to tell you that this is the perfect place for a coffee date, but really, it's the perfect shop for a coffee meeting. Maybe it's because their locations are in worky areas, who knows, but every time I visit, someone is interviewing for a job over a cup of coffee.
Ludlow Coffee Supply
A minimalist mecca. I love Ludlow Coffee Supply. It's clean, trendy folk fill it and the coffee is great. It's kinda small so I wouldn't plan to do work out of it, but it's great for a coffee date!
Dark and trendy, Kobrick Coffee is the perfect shop to bring a friend out to for a cup and convo. If they didn't know it already, they will for sure think you're super cool after seeing this as a place you "regularly go to".
Yes, yes, they're coffee is good but their hot chocolate is the shit! So, make sure you get a cup of each when you visit! In the fall and winter months, they have oversized marshmallows to put in your hot chocolate, don't think, just do it!
The Good Sort
A tiny hole-in-the-wall in Chinatown that focuses mostly on tea lattes is also a great place to pop into for a good ol' fashioned cup of Joe.
Known for their awesome coffee...wait, do I need to keep typing? That should say it all, no? Well, they have a minimalistic vibe, yummy pastries, and a delish dirty almond chai.
Heads up, if you need wifi, they don't have it.
For that French country kitchen vibe, filled with delicious pastries, Maman is the café you need to check out. It's homey, the coffee is wonderful and the bites are great. Go here for a coffee date, you're friend will for sure thank you!
While I love the taste of Nobletree Coffee, I have a confession, I've never actually been to any of their cafés. So embarrassing. I need to fix that! I hear the one in Redhook is incredible!
Oren's Daily Roast
Open for thirty years now, which is super rare in this city, Oren's is the perfect place to grab your coffee to go en route to work. They for sure know how to brew it right and have a handful of locations around the city.
How much is that coffee in the window? Ok. Now, I understand what a hole-in-the-wall is. It's like a drive thru but, well, a walk up. You don't actually have to set foot into the Kimpton Eventi Hotel to begin to enjoy it. I love so many of the spaces and restaurants inside so definitely make plans to come back and explore!
If you're looking for a quiet place to bring your laptop and get work done, this is the coffee shop for you. Walking in, you want to tip-toe so as not to disturb others. It's crazy! Their coffee is great but so are their iced teas so sit around get work done and try a few drinks while you're there!
Beyond awesome coffee, their dirty almond chai is a hands-down must! Pop by when you're uptown!
This is that trendy Garment District coffee shop you need to pop into. Love their vibe!
The French Block Café
