What is your best grilling tip?

Be sure to keep your grill clean when it’s hot out, and don’t be cheap with your meat! If you're not great on the grill, you’re even worse with a cheap cut of meat.

What is your favorite thing to grill and how do you grill it?

I love grilling vegetables. One of my favorite things to grill is eggplant - I marinate it with honey vinegar and ssamjang for Asian flavors.

What is the most out-of-the-box thing you've grilled that people wouldn't expect but came out incredibly delicious?

I've grilled an apple cobbler - it might sound weird but it was delicious. I felt like I was camping.

What is your best grilling tip?

Before grilling chicken, meat or seafood, allow it to come to ambient temperature—room temperature. This will speed up the cooking time and foods will cook more evenly

What is your favorite thing to grill and how do you grill it?

Summertime Sweet Corn.

Clean corn, remove the husk and grill directly over hot fire. The Kernels will get a bit of char on them, which gives the corn a delicious sweet smoky flavor. Cook for about 8 minutes.

Turn frequently and remove them from the heat, if they brown too quickly. Slather with butter and sprinkle with sea salt.

What is the most out-of-the-box thing you've grilled that people wouldn't expect but came out incredibly delicious?

Grilled cake, pound cake, grilled, brushed with grand mariner syrup, and served with grilled fruits—two varities.

Stone fruits with vanilla ice cream (peaches, nectarines, plums)

Tropical fruits with coconut sorbet (pineapple and/or mango)

What is your best grilling tip?

There is more to cooking than going really hot or really cold. Use balance when you grill and you'll make the crowd around you happy.

What is your favorite thing to grill and how do you grill it?

The first thing I ever grilled for myself was a peach when I was a kid. It blew me away how it could change so much from my Dad's charcoal grill. That's more of a memory, but now I love to grill everything. Stuffed clams and lobsters are always a good time behind the grill.

What is the most out-of-the-box thing you've grilled that people wouldn't expect but came out incredibly delicious?

My dad and I made a huge cast iron fish basket that could hold a whole bass. I've never met anyone who doesn't enjoy seeing that at work!

I've also grilled pork testicles & kidneys and fish eyes. All on different occasions. All great in their own way!
