Spinach Avocado Grilled Cheese Sandwich

When my friends at FoodBeast reached out to me to make a video for one of their contests, I couldn't help but to jump on board. This deliciousness is what happened next


PREP TIME: 2 minutes

COOK TIME: 5 minutes

TOTAL TIME: 7 minutes


1 Sandwich


Pumpernickel (2 Slices)

Provolone (4 Slices)

Baby Spinach (8-10 Leaves)

Mint (10 Mint Leaves)

Avocado (1/4, Sliced)

Unsalted Butter (2 Tbsp)


Butter Knife

Grill Pan

Metal Spatula

Cutting Board

Chef's Knife

1. STACK IT UP. butter one side of each of your slices of pumpernickel bread.

Lay them butter side down on your cutting board or a plate.

On top of one of your slices, stack your provolone, followed by your baby spinach, followed by your mint and then your avocado.

Close off your sandwich with your second slice of pumpernickel bread, butter side out.


2. CHANNEL YOUR INNER GRILL MASTER. heat up your grill pan over medium-high heat.

Place your sandwich on it and let cook for 2-3 minutes.

Use your spatula to flip your sandwich.

Let cook for another 2-3 minutes.

If you're finding that your cheese isn't melty enough, cover your pot with it's lid, it will help it to melt faster.

On your cutting board, cut your sandwich in half.
