Walking up the tiled step of AOC and through its royal blue facade, I joined one of my girlfriend at a table closest to the window, ordered a round of bubbly and began exploring the menu. The first words that caught my attention were “Croque Madame”! Maybe it was looking at the menu, though it was more likely my girl friend saying “we have to get the Croque Madame” at the very same time as my eyes began reading that I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be in that very moment in my life. You don't understand, I absolutely, head-over-heels love a weekday lunch that has a hint of brunchiness to it!
Naturally, we lunch-brunched! Out came the Croque Madame and Pain Perfu satiating our brunch side and the Daurade Sauce Vierge, Salade Nicoise and Mariniere Mussels to satisfy our lunch cravings. What I loved most was every dish seamlessly incorporated it's own unique potato. Some seasoned and tossed with onions, others boiled and halved and of course those ever so addicting French fries! Order it all but if you won't, the Croque Madame and the Mariniere Mussels are the musts!
