It’s only right for an upscale artsy hotel to have an upscale artsy hotel restaurant. Enter Cleo. Now, what I absolutely love is that they’ve taken Mediterranean food which is inherently known for it’s fresh flavorful ingredients and an air of comforting homeyness and elevated it into an edible art experience.
I truly can’t stop thinking about their SEA SCALLOP dish that sits on a bed of pureed English peas and artichoke hearts. The textural play when it comes to mouth feel is enough to write home about. There’s just something about their crisp perfectly seared scallops sitting on the, for lack of a better term, mushy English pea blend that is so enjoyable to eat. You surely, in good conscious, cannot go to Cleo without ordering this dish. Ooh, and while we’re on that the FLUKE CRUDO and the SQUASH SALAD with shredded squash blossoms are also hands-down musts.
