I haven’t been able to shut up about this place since the second I left. I’m positive that all my friends, as well as random strangers on the streets of New York, are tired of hearing me rave about it. If you’ve heard someone scream “let’s go to Dez!” while walking around, yeah, that was probably me (sorry not sorry).

Walking into DEZ, founded by Samantha Wasser of By Chloe and TV personality (and Coffee And Champagne friend) Eden Grinshpan, I felt like a Middle Eastern princess. In fact, I felt as though I had stumbled upon the Sex and the City 2 movie set (you know, the one where they go to Abu Dhabi) with all the Mediterranean inspired decor.

Don’t even get me started on the food. It’s almost too pretty to eat (I said almost)! The amount of attention paid to every dish and detail of this place is breathtaking. Millennial pink Beet Hummus with pine nuts and jalapeños, need I say more? There’s no doubt in my mind I could spend hours staring at its beauty, but dipping some good ol’ pita bread into it was even more satisfying. Pair it with the Rose Lemonade, you’ll thank me later—it’s like an explosion of rose petals in your mouth, not in a potpourri kind of way, no, in the greatest way possible—I’d pop in for one of those on-the-go any day! Then, to top off what was already an incredible meal, a Walnut Honey Kadaifi soft serve. Ladies and gents, I kid you not, I would eat this yogurt tasting frozen treat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. That’s totally healthy right?

Off to the DEZ I go—see you there!
