Opening it’s doors a month ago, Seabird is chef Kenichi Tajima’ and wife Keiko Tajima’ newest addition to the West Village. With large windows allowing the natural light to seep into the front of the restaurant, outdoor seating in the warmer months, super cool blue and white octopus patterned wallpapered accent walls and a bar that stretches through the entirety of the space, the idea is to serve up s seafood menu with an chill beachy vibe. Go for lunch and escape the fast paced hustle and bustle of city life!

 Start your lazy lunch with a goldfish bowl filled with sangria—oh, you will not be going back to work. Well, at least not in a useful manner. In no way are you going for a healthy meal here, so knock that idea out of your head and gear up to happily indulge! Order the fried octopus balls! Not only are they delish, but they are presented beautifully and something you don’t see repeated on every single menu out there. Add on an order of the crab filled mac and cheese because it’s amazing and you seriously could not be my friend if you saw that dish on any menu and didn’t say to the server after ordering a slew of other food, “and, duh, no-brainer, the crab mac and cheese”.
