I simply cannot convey how easy this dish is to make—that’s a lie, those words alone pretty much say it all. Really, just layer the ingredients on top of each other and then bake, cut, and eat—THAT’S IT!

The beauty of this kind of dish is that you can absolutely make it your own by using ingredients you have on hand or are feeling for in that moment. Roasted heirloom tomatoes? Go for it! Roasted grapes? All in. You get the idea! Have fun with this one!

TO MAKE YOUR TARTINE
  1. Preheat your oven to 375º.
  2. Lay the bottom half of your ciabatta loaf cut-side-up on your baking sheet.
  3. Lay your pear slices in a flat layer over your ciabatta.
  4. Sprinkle your basil evenly over your pears.
  5. Season to your liking with salt and pepper.
  6. Sprinkle your mozzarella evenly over your loaded loaf.
  7. Bake until you see golden spots appearing on your mozzarella—about 30 minutes.
  8. Transfer your tartine to your cutting board and cut it into triangles.
  9. Eat and enjoy!
