THIS IS WHERE TO BE A LADY WHO LUNCHES

Sitting outside at a wooden table under a crescent-shaped red umbrella with a girlfriend about to dig into what would prove to be an amazing lunch—honestly, I can't think of a better way to spend a summer Monday afternoon. Since I had been to an event at Chefs Andrew Carmellini and Sal Lamboglia’s Bar Primi, I knew I was in for a fantastic meal, I didn't realize just how pretty it would be, too.

From a chef table-side plating of the Pomodoro Pasta (because how many people take two-hour lunches on a Monday?) to trying out at least half of the dishes on the menu, our dining experience couldn't have been more special. Bonus, it gives me a lot to report back on—your welcome.

DISHES YOU CAN’T SKIP

Ricotta Crostino topped with truffle honey, hazelnuts—truffle anything is always a must, if you ask me, which you didn't. Explore it for yourself, I'm sure you’ll come to the same conclusion. (it's the dish featured in the first photo)

Grilled Portobello Melt with mozzarella and basil aoili—the basil aioli alone is a must!!!

Spaghetti Pomodoro topped with parmigiano-reggiano—from the pasta to the sauce you can taste the homemade-iness of this dish. There’s little that compared to a simple dish executed perfectly!
