Instructions

TO PREP YOUR FRENCH TOAST
  1. Liberally grease the inside of your large frying pan with butter.
  2. In your large mixing bowl, whisk together your eggs, whole milk, maple syrup, and vanilla until evenly incorporated.
  3. Submerge each stuffed slice of bread in your mixture letting it sit for about 30 seconds on each side. Then lean and layer each slice in your large frying pan.
  4. Pour the remaining egg mixture evenly over your brioche slices.
  5. Refrigerate for 1 hour or overnight.
TO BAKE YOUR FRENCH TOAST
  1. Make sure your rack is in the middle of your oven.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375º.
  3. Bake until golden and crisply toasted—45-50 minutes.
  4. While your French Toast is baking, move on to making your stewed apples.
TO MAKE YOUR APPLES
  1. Over medium heat put your bite-sized apple pieces in your smaller frying pan.
  2. Sprinkle cinnamon over them. Use your rubber spatula to move your apples around so that they are fully coated then get them in a flat layer. Cover your pan with its lid.
  3. Check in every 5 or so minutes and move your apples around with your spatula.
  4. Cook until soft and mushy—about 30 minutes.
TO ASSEMBLE YOUR FRENCH TOAST
  1. Use your chinois to sprinkle confectioner's sugar liberally over your French Toast.
  2. Place your stewed apples over the breaks between your slices.
  3. Sprinkle almond slices evenly over everything.
  4. Serve hot with a side of maple syrup. Eat and enjoy!
